Marcela Velmur is a former dancer turned model whose artistic journey defies boundaries. Trained extensively in dance until an injury shifted her course, Marcela found solace in modeling. Her body, once a dancer’s instrument, now tells stories in front of the camera, where modeling has become her canvas for self-expression.
“This story is an ode to the alter ego that has accompanied me for 9 years of my life. It started when I was studying circus, and I found in the harlequin a chameleonic figure that could represent me, especially in times of sadness and melancholy.” – Marcela Velmur

“Makeup was my refuge during an emotionally challenging time; I liked the idea of being able to wear a mask that I could create and adapt on my own. I learned that sadness always comes back, and one must accept it and live it because it will always get brighter from there.”
“I untangled this whole back-and-forth between feeling vulnerable and finding my strength. Watched as tough times did their little spin and eventually hugged it out, turning my face into this metamorphosis celebration.”
