Pride Turns Up: Submission Beauty, Whorechata and Friends Light Up the Ace

Last night, the Ace Hotel in New York transformed into a pulsating epicenter of queer joy, thanks to a Pride party hosted by Submission friends Whorechata. The energy was high, the dancefloor never let up, and the crowd came to celebrate - loudly, proudly, and without inhibition.

From the moment doors opened, it was clear this wasn’t just another Pride party. The space was alive with bodies glittered, oiled, and styled in every color of the rainbow (and then some). Submission Beauty was there in full sparkle mode, serving looks from our on-site Glitter Bar, dusting cheeks, shoulders, and bare skin with shimmer, sweat, and stardust. For a few hours, a corner of the hotel lobby became a beauty station - it was a ritual, a transformation, and a radiant mini rebellion.

Whorechata, the fierce nightlife collective known for throwing some of NYC’s most unapologetic and inclusive events, curated a night that felt like a love letter to queer resistance and celebration.

The DJ lineup brought heat, weaving together techno, reggaeton, house, and perreo into a genre-bending soundtrack that shook the floor. Dance floor performers slayed - from high-energy go-go sets to surprise vogue battles that had the whole room gagged. There was no VIP section, no pretension - just one big, beautiful, sweaty mass of people moving together.

Drinks flowed, boundaries dissolved, and for a few glorious hours, the Ace became more than a venue -  it was a dancefloor utopia where queerness wasn't just welcome, it was the reason. Community, expression, liberation: all of it was on full display.

If you missed it, don’t worry - this wasn’t a one-night affair. Whorechata is only getting started, and Pride isn’t confined to a month. See you all soon at the next whorechata celebration - we wouldn’t miss it for the world. Keep your eyes peeled, your glitter ready, and your tallest dancing boots close.
