We do our best to warn you about the risks of plastics hidden (or not-so-hidden) in your makeup bag, but they’re also lurking elsewhere: your wardrobe. Polyester, a synthetic commonly derived from petroleum—that’s right, big oil does it again—is ubiquitous in clothing production due to its low cost and versatility. So instead of opting for pollutive polyester, Submission’s tees are made from 100% reclaimed organic waste cotton and printed with water-based inks, making use of what would otherwise be discarded and providing you with a cleaner, more comfortable product as a result.
